I have a somewhat unique birthday: 06-05-04, or June 5th, 2004. I am currently in the process of applying to graduate school.
Academic Background
I am a senior at UC Berkeley majoring in Applied Mathematics with a concentration in number theory. I will be graduating with honors, having completed my senior thesis on the arithmetic of the Riemann zeta function under the supervision of Professor Yunqing Tang. Prior to attending UC Berkeley, I went to El Camino College where I obtained associate degrees in psychology, economics, business administration, and mathematics.
Research Interests
My research interests lie primarily in analytic number theory, specifically focusing on irrationality theory coupled with experimental mathematics.
Other Fascinations
Outside of pure mathematics, my interests are quite broad. I'm interested in exploring the intersections of:
- Mind and Brain: Psychology (specifically the mechanics of human thought) and neuroscience;
- The Big Questions: Philosophy, religion, and the concept of free will (or the lack thereof);
- The Physical World: Physics and politics.
Enjoy :)
