I will do my best to categorize these topics according to the interests listed in my About Me page. As I delve into any one of these concepts more deeply, I will update their subsequent hyperlink throughout the process, providing any significant resources and comments when necessary.
Mind and Brain
- What is intelligence? Where does intelligence come from; is it genetic, and if so how much is intelligence passed down to future generations?
- What is serotonin, dopamine, epinephrine, and norepinephrine? Where are they produced? What roles do they play within the brain and human functionality?
- What precisely is consciousness or self awareness? Do any other animals possess this? If any do, which, and to what extent?
The Big Questions
- What is Christianity, Mormonism, Buddhism, Atheism, Agnosticism, Judaism, Islam, and Satanism? In what ways do these belief systems (dis)agree?
- Do we have free will? If we do, then great; however, if we don't, then what have we? What induces us to form our interests, dislikes, and otherwise self? What is compelling me to write this question, let alone make this website?
The Physical World
- What is a black hole? How do they (if at all) affect space and time? Where do they come from? Do they ever go away? What would happen if two black holes came in close enough proximity to one another?
- What is a Republican? What is a Democrat? What is a liberal? What is a communist?
- What is a magnet? What is the study of electrodynamics? How are magnets made? Can you force one magnet to float by placing it on top of another magnet at opposing poles? If so, how much weight can it suspend in relation to the size of said magnet?
